A bit about me… I live in NE Minneapolis with my husband and 2 children, 2 cats, and some fish.  As local artists, my husband and I own a studio building on Lowry Ave NE. We run Potekglass, a studio that designs and creates glass art, lighting, tiles, and jewelry.  We also teach glass classes there.

When I’m not teaching or doing art, I love to get out in the woods--hiking, canoeing, camping, and generally exploring the great outdoors in all seasons!

I believe in… the power of art to save the world.

My education journey… After many years as a professional artist, I started teaching art for Minneapolis Public Schools in 2009.  I taught at Jenny Lind Elementary for six years before coming to Webster.

Books… Favorites are As I Lay Dying, William Faulkner; For the Time Being, Annie Dillard; and anything written by David Sedaris.

Stories to tell… Our trip to Tanzania in 2014!; getting our van stuck in the mud in Cibola National Forest, NM; our first (kevlar!) canoe trip down the Danbury River
