A bit about me… I live in Northeast Minneapolis with my husband and one-year-old daughter. I love coffee and coffee shops, creative writing, reading, and yoga. I taught for nine years at Nellie Stone Johnson Community School –  six years as a kindergarten teacher and three years as a first grade teacher in the Spanish Native Language Literacy and Transitional Dual Language programs. I enjoy getting to know the students, staff, and families at Webster, and I love when they say “hola” or “Buenos Días.”

I believe in… humor, down time, organization, efficiency, language learning, and bilingual education.

My education journey… When I started college I wasn’t sure what I wanted to study. Second term when I took Spanish, I realized how much joy the language brings me. I was fortunate to get to study in Mexico and Spain and spend a year living in Mexico.

Books… I love reading and I love the Minneapolis Public Libraries! I prefer reading real (paper) books, but I recently started using a Kindle, too –  it is definitely easier for traveling!
