A bit about me… I grew up in Lakeville, MN with my three younger sisters who were my guinea pigs during my early days as a “teacher”.  In my spare time, I enjoy rollerblading, going on walks, baking, traveling with my family, and catching up with friends.  My happy place is sitting at the beach listening to the waves crash against the shore.  I enjoy the challenge of learning Spanish as a second language and love any opportunity to practice!

I believe in… finding your passion and letting it lead the way; communicating constantly about the good, the bad, and the ugly; always trying to find the good in people’s hearts and showing kindness always.

My education journey… I loved every minute of my K-12 education experience.  I was fortunate to have powerful, impactful teachers that inspired me to pursue education.  I learned my most valued life lessons through my school experiences that taught me how to have perseverance, dedication, and determination to reach my goals.

Books… I struggled to get into reading as a kid but have found my love for it as an adult.  I love reading books that have been made into movies (it's fun to compare the two) and historical fiction novels specifically about the struggles during the Holocaust and the Civil Rights Movement.  I love books that make me laugh, cry, and take me into a world other than my own.

Stories to tell… The train ride in Switzerland; baking my first Thanksgiving pie; navigating Europe; neighborhood block party.
