Webster is a great choice for Preschool through 5th grade! Webster has a strong academic program that also includes Art, Media, Physical Education, Music, & Strings.
We focus on child-centered education, honoring where each child is at and helping them grow through a variety of engaging, integrated learning opportunities for all of our students.

Greetings Webster Families & Caregivers,
It is my pleasure to serve you and your child(ren) as the principal at Webster! This is my 24th year in education. I started my career as a first grade teacher in Richfield, then came to Minneapolis Public schools in 2009. I have worked at many schools in Minneapolis including Seward and Armatage, as well as serving as the Elementary Curriculum Director at the Davis Center. Before coming to Webster, I was the principal at Ridgeview Elementary in Bloomington.
I strongly believe in supporting the whole child through social emotional learning and focusing on peaceful practices. As a former teacher and literacy coach, and curriculum director, I am also very focused on developing students as scholars. We are excited to get to know your child, what they enjoy and what makes them excited to come to school.
As a parent myself, I know that when students feel heard, seen, valued and welcomed at school, they feel like they belong. My goal as your principal is to make sure that all students and families feel that Webster is their school!
If you have any questions or concerns, I’m always happy to talk to you or your child!
In partnership,
Dr. Carey Seeley
Principal, Webster Elementary School
In Community and with Equity, WE BELIEVE:
-
that all students can learn and must be provided the support and opportunities to engage in meaningful, challenging work.
-
that all of us have the power to be changemakers.
-
that we must model and instill a growth mindset so that students can reach their maximum potential.
-
that our diversity brings depth and richness to our lives, that it must be honored and celebrated, and that it is our duty to uphold the dignity of each and every person in our community.
-
that we must build a community where all voices are welcomed and heard, where collaboration is valued, and where mistakes and failures are embraced as opportunities for further learning.
-
we must develop and deliver a curriculum that engages the intellect, as well as the creative, social, emotional, and cultural lives of our students.
